Outlook for 2008

Yesterday I read about the views of many experts about the outlook for the Indian markets for 2008. Almost everyone feels that the outlook is positive. India growth story looks to be accepted by everyone. Moreover, the feeling is that the party has just begun and we are looking at some 15-20 years of sustained growth for India. Well, time to keep increasing the exposure to the Indian markets.

Opening cyber innings

The idea to start this blog came from something I learnt recently. Let me explain by way of an analogy. When there is rainfall on a certain piece of land, there are the following possibilities. First, the water just flows or is washed away. Second, the water forms a stagnant pool where the rainwater gets accumulated. Third, the water is absorbed by the ground and it is used for growth of plantations which bear fruit. Similarly, as one receives knowledge, there are these possibilities. First, whatever is learnt is soon forgotten and wasted. Second, the knowledge is accumulated and stored. Third, the knowledge is shared with others and used for adding value to society.
This blog is my attempt to start sharing my thoughts and knowledge so that it could be used by others in need.
